Normally, I am not super into this holiday. Nothing against it, I just don't really take the time to make or buy costumes, and usually I have no where to go. I don't think I could get away with trick-or-treating anymore, as much as I'd like to. But in honor of yesterday being Evie's first Halloween, I found myself feeling the holiday spirit (and slight social pressure of being that mom who didn't dress her baby up in an adorable costume on this crucial day in childhood history and who, as punishment, will leave her descendants with nothing to ooo and ahh at for all of time, forevermore). And we decided to participate. Sort of.
I found this photo and tutorial on Llevo el invierno of these awesome little birdie wings and decided to try my hand at making them baby-sized. Evie already had the owl hat that a friend of mine knitted for her, so we were set.
And here we are, Evie's first costume! A little homemade-looking, but I think she achieved the desired response.
