Despite the fact that Mike had to work both Christmas Eve and Christmas this year, we were still able to celebrate with both our families and have an overall merry time (also despite the fact that I somehow managed to lock myself and Evie out of the house on Christmas Eve AND Christmas night...my family is very gracious). Plus, Evie got to be baby Jesus in a live nativity scene that some of our neighbors put on this year. She performed her role excellently, I must say. Here are some photos of Evie's first Christmas.
The above photo was taken shortly after Evie decided to stop screaming her head off so that she could hear all of the rest of us sing some carols. Evie loves herself some singing.
So the above photo is me at my first Christmas. Evie and I would have been about the same age at our first Christmases because our birthdays are six days apart. We decided to recreate this photo with Evie, as you can see in the photo below. And also as you can see in the photo below, we look nothing alike. At least we're both smiling!
