This is my first time doing a post like this, but I've come across some great finds this past year, and I just can't keep them to myself. Plus, with Mother's Day around the corner, these would all make wonderful gifts! Hope you enjoy!
1. Walk in Love t-shirts- I stumbled across this company a while back and actually bought this shirt for my husband for Valentine's Day(and bought myself a different one a while later...you know, just because). I love the idea of scripture on clothing, and Walk in Love makes it look pretty darn good with great design and fun colors. They have women's sizes as well as prints, stickers, phone cases and other various goodies. Plus, their shirts are made responsibly and ethically and are super soft!
2. 3 Cords handbags- My friend Meagan introduced me to 3 Cords about a year ago. Not only do they sell all kinds of beautiful bags and fun headbands, but they also employ handicapped women and men in Haiti, to empower them and show them that they are valuable and beautiful. I love how businesses like this are redeeming the simple act of purchasing something and transforming it into a way of helping others in need. If I could buy everything I owned from companies doing something similar, I would.
3. Artifact Uprising prints- This is my favorite company to order photo prints from. Ever. It's another company that is striving not only to offer a unique product, but also do some good in the process. Everything is made in the U.S., most of the products are made with recycled material and they also provide some employment opportunities for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The design options are gorgeous, and you can also make custom photo books and calendars.
This is what I did with some of my prints, just for an idea:
4. A Million Little Ways by Emily P. Freeman- I. Love. This. Book. It's about how everyone has the potential to make art (not just literal art, but beauty and fruit and joy) with their lives in all sorts of ways, whether you are a cashier or a dancer...or a stay-at-home-mom. It's not a book about motherhood, but I found it to be so refreshing to my soul when I was struggling with adjusting in those first few months of motherhood.
