You have grown so so much, my little love bug.
You are spunky and sweet. A handful and a joy. Smart and silly. Curious and stubborn. Petite yet getting bigger and bigger every day.
Along with "mama" and "daddy," you can now say:
thank you- "tant too"
Patrick (as in Uncle Patrick)- "Pa-Pa"
hi- "hi" (You've got this one down pretty good.)
bye- Also pretty accurate with pronunciation.
You can also say "wee" when you're on a swing and "boo" when we play peek a boo and also when trying to say "boot" and "wow" when you are particularly awed.
You understand so much, too. I can ask you to go get something for me and you most likely will know what I'm saying and know where the said object is, which is really pretty awesome. I feel so proud of you when you do this. You know where your belly button is, and you can point out things on the pages of the books we read when I ask you where something is.
We've had to start working with you on your throwing of fits and your listening skills, but overall, you are good-natured. You share well with your friends and you give wonderful hugs.
You've gotten lots of teeth since my last update (hallelujah!). Wasn't sure you were ever going to get any more. But they are filling in nicely.
You love your blankie, your baby doll, books and your paci (still).
You also love (and I mean love) to listen to music and dance. When I play music in the house you hold out your hands and we dance together. We listen to Jon Foreman and Mumford and Sons and NeedtoBreathe and some children's worship CDs I have for the car. You are also quite a talented car seat dancer, I might add. Sometimes I look back at you when I'm driving and I see your little hands up in the air waving to the beat of the song playing. You're just having your own mini dance party back there. It's pretty much the cutest thing ever.
In other news, your new baby sister is 23 weeks along inside my tummy. I've got a little baby bump that we keep pointing to and saying to you, "Your baby sister is in there!" Sometimes when we tell you this you start smiling and trying to pull up my shirt so you can poke at my belly button. Hopefully you'll love your new sister as much as you love belly buttons.
We're getting there.
I was going to include a photo of me here to document my bump, but if I'm being completely honest, it's been really cold so I haven't showered in a few days and my hair is a hot mess.
So...I'm going to wait on that.
Anyway, if movement inside the womb is any indicator on the temperament of a baby, you and your sister will be very much alike. She is a wiggler just like you were, and I love it.
I hope and pray you both continue to grow healthily and safely. I love you!
