Nora may be a cute little nugget of a human, but I will be honest and say that she is also a slobbery little hot mess of a spitter upper.
If she drinks a bottle of milk, she spits up. If you put her on her tummy too soon after her bottle, she spits up. If you put her on her back for any length of time, she most assuredly will spit up. If you hold her upright after being in any of these former positions...you guessed it. She will spit. up. And she'll be as happy as a little clam while she upchucks on her cute little outfit...or my not so cute one. Or on the rug. Or on the couch. Or in her Pack n' Play.
You get the idea.
She really threw me for a loop with all this spitting up because I don't remember having this big of an issue with Evie. And now, as she has begun to teethe, she's added slobber to this delightful mix of bodily fluids getting everywhere.
And so in an attempt to contain all this mess in a graceful fashion, I decided to try a set of bandana bibs from Copper Pearl.
And I have to say, I am so glad I did. They are a huge help in multiple ways.
First and foremost, they are adorable. Taking care of a baby definitely comes with its fair share of unglamorous moments, so when we find something that makes one of these moments pretty darn cute, that is a victory. A major victory.
I'm really excited to use them this Fall not only to keep the spit-up under control, but to also help keep Nora warm and snug and looking her best. They also have adjustable snaps, so that you can keep using them for a while as your baby grows. In fact, I'm pretty sure these bibs would fit Evie, too.
Copper Pearl makes several sets of bandana bibs (with plenty of choices for boys, too!) that are all so sweet. I bought our first set, the Paris set, a while back, and it has held up great. The set I'm featuring in this post is called the Aztec set, and we love it, too.
As you may have guessed, I have a huge weakness for feathers...
These bibs are also super soft and do a great job in catching all the spit-up and slobber and preventing me from having to change Nora's outfit over and over again, which could literally be happening all day if I chose to change her clothes every time she got her outfit wet.
It really means a lot to me when I can support smaller businesses when I shop for my daughters, and one of the coolest aspects of Copper Pearl is that it was started by two stay-at-home moms. Actually, the name Copper Pearl came from one mom being a red-head (the copper) and the other being a blonde (the pearl). I thought that was pretty awesome. And it is also reassuring because I feel that I can trust the quality of these products because I know that they were made by women who know what it's like to dig down into the nitty gritty of raising little ones.
All in all, we really love these bibs. They are super affordable and so cute and very practical.
A great combo if I ever saw one.
So definitely go check out Copper Pearl's website, and see what you think! They make other things, as well, such as blankets and wash cloths and car seat covers. If you find something that tickles your fancy, you can use the code FEATHERSANDROOTS15 for 15% off on their website, valid through Sept. 29th!
I hope you found this review useful! As always, thanks for reading!
